100 Books is a Lot of Books

In my last post, I promised more news, and then when that news happened, I neglected to share it.

Can we blame Thanksgiving?

In any case, the news is this:

An actual assload of books.

I ordered 100 copies of Ravenmarked in print.

It’s not like this is earth-shattering or anything, but it does mean that I can sign them and send them to all those threes of fans who have just been dying to get their paws (not that I’m making any judgments about the quality of my fans) on a print copy of this meager literary contribution. For the same price as purchasing a print copy on Amazon, you can buy the book from me and I will sign and send it to you at no additional cost.*

If you would like to own your very own copy of Ravenmarked with my personal scrawl inside, you can order from this page. Simply click the PayPal “Pay Here” button and check out using your own PayPal account or a credit card. I will send you the book just as soon as I can get myself to a post office.

And since I have an assload of books sitting in my entryway that need a home, I am also announcing a contest! Simply comment on this post, and I’ll choose two people at random to receive a FREE print copy.* You can comment in any way you wish. You can tell me this book is awful and an affront to literature everywhere, you can tell me what you ate for dinner last night, or you can just say “me, me, me!” It’s entirely up to you. One warning: If your comment is clearly spam, I will delete it. I have no need for porn, essay-writing services, uber-special cat litter, knock-off shoes or bags, or anything offered to me in an alphabet I can’t read. Contest closes on December 10, 2017.

One hundred books doesn’t seem like a lot until it’s stacked in three boxes in your entryway. Once I’d pulled out copies for my best friend, my husband, my kids, my mom, and a couple of other notables, it still looked like three boxes in my entryway. I’m left feeling like, “crap, now what do I do with the other 90-ish books?” I’m working on that. I have a list of bookstores that take independently published books (maybe), so I’ll be contacting those. But after that, what do I do with the last 75 or 80? I’m only slightly kidding.

So it’s up to you all to help clear my entryway. If you want to win a copy, comment below. If you want to buy a copy, go here. And if you know someone who might love the book, please share!

All this progress is stressing me out. Excuse me while I go breathe into a paper bag…

* Offer good in the US only. If you are outside the US, I may have to charge you additional shipping. But I will make every effort to not do that…

If I had brushed up on my Taurin tribal runes, then I could leave a comment not in English while still meeting the minimum requirements. Alas, this will have to do.

Okay, I would make an exception for runes…

    Me! Me!
I’m commenting because I’m too lazy to get off my couch and dig out a payment method.
I’m assuming you won’t accept an envelope of seashells as legal tender…

I would totally take an envelope of seashells if you delivered it in person.

I’m going to buy one, so don’t add me to the list of (possible)co.ntest winners.
    But, good on you!
    Thanks, for sharing
